5712/1A or 5164/1R at MSRP?
5712 in stainless at $52k
5164R in rose gold at $63k. Secondary market prices aside assuming you’ll never sell the watch, which do you buy at retail and why? |

5712/1A or 5164/1R at MSRP?
5712 100%
Love the asymmetric dial , PR and moon-phase. Not to mention the micro rotor. My favorite Patek sport watch . I had owned both 5712/1a and 5164R and it’s easier to maintain that bezel on SS than in gold. I prefer the thickness of the 5164 tough . A lot of people like the thinness of the case and the lightweight of the bracelet of the 5712, to me those are the downfalls of the watch . I prefer the bracelet of the RO way better, I like to feel like I have a watch on my wrist if you know what I mean . There are people that praise the thinness of the case and the shitty bracelet , I don’t . And with all that I still go 5712 Hope is not confusing, it probably is lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I prefer the looks of the 5164R and the feel of the rubber strap is perfect for me to wear daily. therefore that's what I have

No brainer here - 5164 everytime. If it was the 5811 or the 5726, would be a different story.

OP the poll mentions a 5172; this got me confused for a second.
If we are talking about a 5712, then, 5712/1A for sure. One of the most interesting current Nautiluses. |

5712/1A or 5164/1R at MSRP?
Two wonderful choices. I like the look of the 5164R more but the steel naut is more pragmatic as I prefer light watches.
The price makes it tough as wow retail of the 5712 really crept up there. It’s tough for me to pick a sport patek even at retail now when I can get a PC or manual chrono for similar money NIB secondary.
