Yes I think the dial gives a similar vibe to Sekiguchi's. Interestingly Sekiguchi is based in Switzerland while Fabian is based in Tokyo. Their movements are very different though.

The price for the platinum is CHF 60,000.

Extremely cool watch. But: these prices for time only independents are really getting out of control. This watch is approx 75k euros. That’s steep.

Great watch, but the price seems high. A Pascal Coyon is 35-40 thousand euro. Probably more in platinum, but not 75k euros.

Considering the watch components do not involved CNC, comes in Grand Feu enamel dial, platinum case and has 6 interior angles, it is fair in my view. Equivalent artisanal watches are priced higher.

Wasn't the first Brette around 50k and that seemed to have more extensive hand finishing plus more elaborately finished dial? Either way - 75k is a lot of money for a fledgling independent

Simon Brette's zirconium SBCA is priced too low in my view. His RG is approximately CHF 80k. RRCCII platinum is CHF 125k. Kari Vingt-8 platinum is CHF 96k. Romain Gauthier platinum IMR is CHF 88k before last year price increase. Sylvain Pinaud Origine platinum is CHF 88k.

Note this one by Fabian does not go through CNC. It is more time consuming to make his movement which is also in-house btw. I thought CHF 60k is fair when comparing to equivalent artisanal watches.

Agreed.

Although no cnc use is 0 value add for the final product and doesn’t help it in any way.

Would definitely prefer any of those brands you listed

Also the movement is named FAP…lol

Those watchmakers in Switzerland have a big ecosystem to help them with dials, case, finishing and other components but I'm not so sure what are the equivalents in Japan where Fabian is based.

Some collectors like classic simple dials while some like the more contemporary skeletonized or partially skeletonized dials with keyless works displayed. I wholeheartedly hope this one works for him in an increasingly crowded and competitive artisanal market.
