How the heck do you post a photo

You have two options, upload an image from your device. It must meet size requirements.

Or use a photo hosting site, I use Flickr.

Click the image icon and past the URL from the image into the field

Your image url should read like this img]https://................................ .jpg[/img

The IMG needs to be enclosed in []

Simple

You make a good point. Tapatalk automatically resizes any image to meet forum size requirements.

And I do not like Tapatalk and have never been able to get it to work, so I use my Flickr account

This site is literally full of pictures, it can’t be that hard Chris!
You can use a link, use a pic hosting site, or a third party website. If it’s the re-sizing of pictures that trips you up, there are free apps to help you with that also. If that’s still too much for you, then there’s not much hope sorry to say.

Or, if you’d prefer wel fill the site with pop ups and adverts on every page/thread you click, we could then perhaps open the floodgates to unlimited size pics that result in the need to scroll down the page, or view sideways to fit the viewing on your page?!
Alternatively, one could pony up 10’s of thousands for a room size data bank to facilitate such a mammoth energy vortex to contain unlimited bites…

Personally, I feel it works well as is, and no trouble to post a picture.

I can post pics here Rob but the sites size limitations make it the more difficult due to the additional steps required hence my original post ;)

Cannot understand why its very simple to do,but today most want everything done for them instead of using a bit of there own brain. Plenty of free picture hosting sites like imgur just sign up for a free account, then upload image from your device, then click on your uploaded picture, box on right of screen will come [BBCode message boards & forums click copy] then paste the link in your post its not rocket science.

A $30 pledge towards the cost of running the Forum would help?

TRF does not receive advertising $$$’s from anyone and data is a cost.

Same with me. I'm frequently using image codes over the internet for personal and business purposes but I need time to figure out how to use them on this platform.

Resizing a digital photo to a lower pixel count can be done using various methods. Here are a few common methods:

**Method 1: Using Microsoft Paint**

1. Open the Photo: Right-click on the photo you want to resize and select Open with, then choose Paint.

2. Resize the Image: In Paint, click on the Resize button in the toolbar. Choose either Percentage or Pixels. If you select Pixels, enter the new width and height. Make sure the Maintain aspect ratio box is checked to keep the photo's proportions.

3. Save the Resized Image: Click on File and select Save As to save the resized image. Choose the file format you want, such as JPEG or PNG.

**Method 2: Using Photos App**

1. Open the Photo: Right-click on the photo and select Open with, then choose Photos.

2. Resize the Image: Click on the More button in the top-right corner and select Resize. Choose one of the preset sizes or click on Define custom dimensions to enter specific pixel values.

3. Save the Resized Image: After resizing, you will have an option to save a copy of the resized image.

**Method 3: Using Online Resizing Tools**

1. Visit an Online Resizing Tool: Go to a website like PicResize, ResizeImage, or ILoveIMG.

2. Upload the Photo: Follow the site instructions to upload your photo.

3. Resize the Image: Enter the desired dimensions in pixels and follow the site's prompts to resize the image.

4. Download the Resized Image: Once resized, download the image to your computer.

**Method 4: Using Photo Editing Software (e.g., GIMP, Photoshop)**

1. Open the Photo: Launch your photo editing software and open the image.

2. Resize the Image: Look for an option like Image Size or Resize Image in the menu. Enter the new dimensions or adjust the percentage.

3. Save the Resized Image: Save the image using File followed by Save As to retain the original photo.

Choose the method that best suits your needs!
