Two half links next to each other - does it work?
Playing around trying to get the perfect fit on my new 116610LN, I was wondering if there would be any reason not to use two half links next to each other where they join the clasp.
The watch obviously comes with one half link, but when used next to a full link, the flexibility of the bracelet can still be limited by the inner section of clasp which. I wondered if fitting a second half link, this would be improved? Hopefully below photos illustrate what I mean; Full link, held in place by inner clasp, restricts bracelet movement: Half link: |

You're saying that the folding end of the blade rests in the middle of the full link. The hope would be that you could get the most snug fit by aligning the blade so that the link curves with your wrist.
Yes, I think that would work. You may be able to resolve the issue by moving the clasp closer to the 6:00 side (exchange a full link for the half link) to better center the blade with the curvature of your wrist. That way the full link on the 12:00 side can continue naturally without a more "vertical climb" toward the case. |

When the bracelet is strapped around your wrist your issue doesn't exist.

Yes, I use two half-links on my SD4000 and Explorer II ref 216570; one on each side of the Glidelock clasp in order to center it on my wrist. Essentially, it is like splitting a full link with the clasp in the middle.
