Silly obsession

I like yellow gold always have. I wear a chain and my wedding band both yellow gold but have been obsessing lately over something dumb. I know this question has been asked a bunch but do you think my stainless watch goes ok with the yellow gold ring. Been wearing watch for a year and it never bothered me but for some reason been thinking about it lately.

I could always just jump into precious metal and get a yellow gold watch :) …I will one day put have competing priorities right now and can’t financially justify.

Thanks for humoring me

Gold and silver work together. Nice contrast. Just my opinion so good luck…

I usually wear a gold bracelet and gold chain that was passed down to me from my grandfather. I have a white gold wedding band and it goes great with either of my SS watches, TT or even my YG DD. When I do wear my DD, my ring is the only white gold jewelry I have on which still goes well with everything else.

Nothing wrong with wearing SS with your gold wedding band. Like mentioned above, it gives it good contrast.

I like things to match or contrast. To me, it doesn’t work, but I acknowledge many will see no issue and/or not care. Beautiful DJ btw

I wear a gold bracelet and gold necklace with a platinum wedding band. I don’t give it a second thought, all look fine together IMO. The SS Datejust looks great (love the blue dial) and will go well with your jewelry. Cheers

I prefer the metals one wears to match. A TT watch is most suited for those who combine different colour metals and are worried about the matching aspect.

Hmmm, a stainless watch with a gold wedding band.

Is that something different?

If it's bothering you there is an issue. If it bothers anyone else it doesn't matter.

Well....This was something I was not comfortable with...so my WG wedding band I wear with all SS and WG watches, and then I purchased a YG wedding band for the YG pieces. Thats it.

My original wedding band was YG. I purchased a SS wedding band and then a titanium wedding band and just went from there. I do match metals in my watch, belt buckle, glasses, cufflinks and any other jewelry. I also match my ink pen metal. Just the next step that makes it all complete for me.

Get a a yellow rolesor DJ, as it will match both gold colours and it will tie it all together nicely.

You basically have a Bluesy colour scheme going there, it works

It looks fine, but I'll never talk someone out of PM. You can start with a TT like the bluesy. Even a 5 digit one won't break the bank.

I get what you're saying. My wedding band is yellow gold and my most frequently worn watch is stainless steel on a SS bracelet. I was somewhat bothered by the mixing of metals - until I badly broke my ring finger, failed to have it treated, and had to have my wedding band cut off. I can't get a ring on my left ring finger anymore, so now I wear my wedding band on my right ring finger. Problem solved! If I had it to do again, though, I would skip the step of mutilating my finger.

Yea my dream right now is the oyster flex Daytona yellow gold with golden dial and black subdials. Goal is to budget and have it within the next 5 years . Think it will pair nicely as a more sporty alternative to my datejust think summer time pool shorts and t shirt but still has the special quality of being PM without the full bracelet.

The watch looks fantastic, enjoy!!!!

Buy a second gold model when life allows and swap between both as your mood suits.
We all own multiple luxury watches / beater watches and swap as needed and this is what makes the passion fun.

When I picked up my first full YG watch I went out and bought a YG wedding band to match. That's the only jewelry that I wear.

I completely understand. Since marrying 15 years ago (and getting a yellow band on my finger) I've felt unable to wear silver cufflinks.

Get both a white and yellow metal band. Rose, if you need that too. Problem solved.
