Wow, what a dial!!

Ah, but, "All of the watch’s components were manufactured by Rolex, including the dial which has Rolex stamping and hallmarks on its backside. What is unclear, ultimately, is whether or not the dial left the factory with its purple hue and Asprey co-branding or if the colour and signature were later added by a customiser."

That doubt is a killer. If Rolex made the change: fantastic. If someone else just swapped-in a different Rolex dial, then this loses 90% of its appeal for me. And without proof, I'd presume the latter.

Showed my magical Muse, she said it's her favorite color and loves it. Can you get it for her please. She won't mind whatever provenance it may or may not have.

Thx, you're the best!

Wow, that's certainly special. I've never seen such a color on a watch before. I dig it!

Cool color but is it like a Tiffany signed dial, or a Bamford like custom?
$70-100K seems like wishful thinking.

Today, it'll end up selling for more. So that this buyer will later say, look! it sold for $120k, and a year later he'll try and offload it for $200k. smh

If an Asprey customisation, would it still be acceptable?

Just a custom / aftermarket / fake dial. It didn’t left the Rolex factory this way… Hard pass for me

That dial colour belongs on a kid's bedroom wall, not on a Daytona.

Rare Asprey Rolex Daytona

I love it

(If it's truly a factory collaboration)

It’s not factory collaboration. They repainted the dial and added the Asprey logo. No value here

Even I wouldn’t want that one, and I own a deep purple dial watch, though not a Rolex.

I saw fawaz al Hasawi with one a year ago. I believe it left Rolex that way and asprey put their logo on it.

For me: no.

But you've just made me realize something: I don't know whether Rolex release fully-finished, Tiffany-stamped dials, or whether Rolex give watches to Tiffany and it's Tiffany who stamp the dials.

This aftermarket custom has no more value than bamford or other.

Thank you. A voice of reason. That Daytona is hideous.

It’s a good question. It opens a whole new level of what customisation is acceptable.

I was just in the Rolex Reference sub forum. I didn’t realize it but looks like Asprey been doing it for a long time.

Maybe someone who appreciates the Asprey brand.

Does anyone know why it has a “T”(tritium) dial?
