Well, I'm in the Rolex game again...
and I'm pretty stoked to say the least. For months now my good buddy Launch Mini has been taunting me with idea of my buying his Air-King from him... I've umm'd and ahhhh'd mainly due to the 34mm size and concerns I'd feel funny wearing such a small watch after my Panerai at 44mm.
I started wearing my Alpha 36mm to work a few times each week, mainly due to my scuffing it (the Panerai) up on the desk and it not fitting under my shirt sleeves very well and the change in size wasn't an issue afterall. Today I recieved a package... all the way from Canada. John had sent me his Air-King to 'try out'.... now how freaking awesome is that? John thanks sooo much, LOVE the AK.. it fits me beautifully and looks gorgeous on the wrist. Sorry, forgot the camera but I'll update this thread tonight with a wrist shot! I'll be paying for the watch sooon and probably get a RSC look over too... its 15yrs old and its been well loved by John alright! Its extra special getting such a watch from a good mate... thanks again buddy |

Nice. I think it will fit you better. I personally think the 44 mm is too big (especially on a woman's wrist - i know the trend is bigger, but i personally am not fond of that trend - watches look like cartoon watches).
Congrats on the new AK - what is the dial color? |

I think a AK is ideal for a lady.Salmon dial would be my suggestion,or something timeless like white, silver or black ..

Classic watch, Amanda, congratulations. Looks classy on either sex and you can wear it anywhere. Agree with Mike; can we get the AK and PAM together for a photo-shoot?

Congragulations Amanda, Im curious about it's photos, I will play this Rolex game at October when I will be in Geneva, I would buy an Air-King too from Ebay but I dont trust. However it's a small watch it's bezel is so nice and just Raymond Weil has same bezel and no more watch in this world, you ve small but unique Rolex.

No sale yet.
She was really on the fence about the size etc. So I just shipped it off to her, no strings attached, so she could try it out. She loves her Panny, but was afraid of too many dings, and the AK seemed to fit the bill for a nice second watch for her, so off to Oz it went. So glad she likes it.
