Price seems about right IF it were in excellent shape. This one seems to have excessive wear and tear IMO. If it were a cal 321, I could see picking it up for that price but not for a cal 861.

Have to agree with Sam on this one Rusi its not in the best condition and like Sam said. If it was a 68-69 model with the cal 321 a proper moon watch then would expect to pay that price or more. But IMO that one in picture in that condition worth around $950 perhaps a little bit more, if mint up to $1200 Now these are buying in prices and not retail, for shop retail add around 20%.

Hi, Sam & Padi,
Thanks for your guidance. Just a thought, what could be its mfg. yr. If I could give a quote for say USD 950, (with a good buffing of crystal & case back would it be worth it?) the dealer agrees for doing it. |

Yes then Rusi quite a good buy,but have a haggle start a bit lower you never know, myself love to barter thats part of the fun.And if possible I never pay the advertised price, but there are much better examples out there, even for that money

Well even if you got it for less you would get yourself a poor condition watch with evidence of rusting on movement. In wouldnt go for it. I would rather pay more $$$ but get a nicer piece.for around $1200 you can get a much better condition speedy. Take a look at the speedy that comatox (Chip) advertised that mike bought .. that sold for similar ball park and that piece was 1000% better overall condition.
I personally wouldnt go for this one. |
