Clear casebacks!

Our estimed member here, Al ("Alcan") has a nice TT Sub Date (black dial) with a glass caseback.

Originally there was a link to the manufacturer of those glass casebacks on www.oysterworld.de but Hannes de-activated the link (I guess since they are non Rolex parts).

Anyway, for those who like the concept, I have found the manufacturer of those glass casebacks, but bear in mind that if you turn your Rolex into RSC, they watch makers would fit an original steel (or precious metal) caseback on your Rolex.....at YOUR expence.

Although it would not make the watch as such "fake", I have chosen to post this thread in the WatchOut section, also to let you know that not ALL Rolex watches you see on sale with "see-through" casebacks are fakes since some of them could indeed have been subjected to this alteration to the original

The Cal. 3135 is a handsome movt., besides being a real workhorse!

The manufacturer in the link I posted also provides clear casebacks for other brands than Rolex, btw.

For what it's worth, I can vouch that they're high quality, precision items. I had my Sub vacuum tested before and after the installation, and it's still as waterproof as the day it was made.
