Oyster perpetual date = 34mm datejust?
I'm curious about the history of oyster perpetual date. Is it basically a smaller datejust but then there are small datejust too. It's confusing...
I read a couple articles online but they don't really give me any information on how it's distinct other than the name. |

The OP Date is smaller than the contemporaneous DJ. If you are seeing small DJs, they are probably the ladies models or perhaps a repainted Date.

There is no confusion, they are model names just like any other product and should not be looked at as a smaller this or a larger that.

I’ve never understood the reasoning between the names Date and Datejust for basically the same watch. Does anyone?

I've always assumed it was an effort to fill multiple price-points.
