Stolen submariner no date 14060M appeal

Hi there. I had a 14060M stolen in 2016 in the U.S.
serial number ends in 88.
It has serious sentimental value and so I thought I would post here about it.
Serial number ends in 88.
Apologies if breaking any forum rules here. Please redirect me if so.
Otherwise - would pay a price to get it back. The reports have not worked to this point.

Thank you.

Post the entire serial number. Imagine someone is offered your watch and, as a precaution, they enter the serial number in a Google search. You want your “Stolen Submariner” post to show up. Posting just “88” will not lead your lost watch back to you

Thanks. I understood that helps counterfeiters to build replicas in which case someone else gets ripped off. But fair enough. Makes sense.
Serial number is V349688.

After it went missing so long ago I’ve got my fingers crossed it will need a service at some point in the future and that’s when in theory it should show itself but for that to happen it would need to go into a Rolex service centre

That was so long ago? Post all information and make sure that you reported it to Rolex.
Good luck with the return of your submariner.

Really grateful for all the comments and advice.

Have my fingers crossed. Yep it’s been reported to Rolex and police etc.

Frankly, at a juncture where the guilt of losing it (it was a gift) is worse than ever. I just bought an old GMT and did my checks so am hoping someone else might do the same someday.

If it was stolen from you I hope you realize you shouldn’t feel guilty about it. The only one guilty is the thief that stole it.

Serial number is V349688.
I understand your initial reluctance. If we can get your stolen watch up higher in internet search engine results then it has a benefit.

I hope you have already reported it to Rolex back in 2016.

For example more posts like this:
"Stolen Rolex Submariner 14060 serial number V349688"

This is how TRF members can help you get the stolen watch higher up in Google search results.

Right now it doesn't appear in search engines yet.

Rolex V349688 stolen also works.
Or stolen Submariner V349688.

When the Google crawlers come across this thread it can help raise it to the top in relevance.

I hope you succeed - I have recovered 2 of 4 burgled Rolexes from 2017 (the most recent in 2021 was aided by RolexUK and a TRF member).

So it's not impossible.
