Datejust combination

It's finally time to pick a datejust the watch that basically started my rolex obsession. The shine and sparkle of the jubilee and fluted bracelet from every angle got me hooked. One day I'll own that watch.

I did acquire a bunch of other rolexes along the way and was trying to figure out what datejust combination would best fit my collection.

Current collection:
116710 BLNR
126710 BLRO
116500 LN White
126500 LN Black
124060 LN Black
116610 LV Green

I prefer the datejust 36, just need suggestion on the dial color. I love the wimbledon dial, white, and blue. But looking for ideas too.

Thanks in advance!

I think I would go blue in 36. The other two with the Roman’s aren’t for me personally. I prefer sticks, but if you are still going for Roman’s I think that azzuro blue looks nice.

Have fun figuring this one out i'm not sure if the datejust is one of the most able to be combined with a lot of different dials fluted and smooth basil Jubilee and oyster bracelet yellow and rose gold in either case look them all over and see which one reaches out and says i'm your huckleberry

Datejust combination

I probably prefer the blue dial but went with Silver. I already had a blue dial watch, so I wanted to mix things up a bit. That’s what drove my decision. No regrets…

BTW, this is a 41.

Blue stick dial was always on my list. I got Sub, GMT and Explorer first. I gotta say this is one of my favorites!

The classic fluted DJ looks great with a white or champagne dial...and with a two-tone Jubilee bracelet.

Blue, mint green and silver are my favorite dials for the DJ. Jubilee / fluted is the way to go.

The DJ41 with the fluted bezel, jubilee bracelet and the classic stick dial. Silver, Black or blue. They are all great.

Have you tried on a 41?
I was on the fence, seriously leaning towards a 36.
Good thing wife and SA talked me out of 36.
The 41 is so nice, specially since you already wear 40’s.
Here is mine.

Well, here’s my vote:

Truthfully, it’s been hard to wear any of my other watches since getting it, in February.

Personally, I made the decision a while ago that any watch I own I can wear anytime, any place. Based on that my recent datejust purchase was a jubilee but smooth bezel as I'm more of a jeans and t-shirt wearer, I think it fits that bill perfectly and also wears well with a suit etc each to their own I guess.

Ive had watches in the past that can only be worn in certain situations and I just never wore them, but again, that'll come down to personal preferences. I love the fluted bezels on the datejust, however, couldn't justify dropping that much money on something I'd wear a hand full of times as I feel it's just to much for my lifestyle.

My favorite combo is the blue 36 with jubilee and fluted bezel. Next two would be same but with green or silver dials.

I agree. I have a 41, and it’s the tiniest, thinnest, lightest watch I have. All my watches are 40mm or more. I’d have some serious buyer’s remorse if I bought a 36 instead.

If its steel, fluted, Jubilee. then Mint or Blue.

Rose TT, chocolate

Yellow TT, Champagne

Motif or Palm Yellow gold if thats your style.

My 36mm, white dial, Roman numerals, on oyster gets the most wrist time out of my collection. And it wears well on my 7 1/2 inch wrist.

A classic Rolex!

with all the watches you have. I don't think you'll appreciated the DJ as much. I'm in a similar boat as you. Have a silver DJ41 fluted jubilee and never wear it at all. Get a gold Daytona OF or day date. You've earned it

Yes, I have! And it also fits pretty nice. I was just leaning towards the classic size.
