PN 6239 help

I have been to look at this watch for a collector friend. I have personally seen it and took the photo. The dial is faded but appears flawless. I believe the dial is correct and it has all boxes and Rolex Geneva paperwork which I have yet to see. My question relates to whether the dial is correct and without talking about specifics, is paperwork on this type of rare beast really worth a considerable sum on top of the watch. Many thanks for any help.

You'll need to put up much better pics than that plus macros if you want and opinion that's worth anything.

Condemning or approving a dial ( or watch ) from pics like that would be totally unfair

Thanks so much. I'm pretty certain it's 100% as I trust my source, but does a set of official papers really make a piece like this stratospherically expensive?

Depends what you mean by that ,

Service papers , will add SOME value if they identify the dial as exotic if not , no not really

Guarantee papers - punched , sure , but unlikely on a pumper pusher , handwritten will add about the value of a set of blank papers .

Ps . If you trying to value them condition of the dial is the bigger factor .... small edge grazes , Hand puller marks , oil stains , scratches even tiny ones can swing the values by tens of thousands .. MUCH more so than pretty much any VR.
