I was so lucky yesterday WOS Knightsbridge London

To me the instant I see and touch a watch, unless I get that " wow " blown away moment it's just nice. But when I get THAT feeling that's what my collection consists of.
That's what happened to me yesterday and We was treated like royalty with my family in jeans and t- shirts in new WOS Knightsbridge shop.
Very very helpful and welcoming to us, offered drinks and had a chat and then shown the new blue two tone sub.
This watch is stunning, I am so so lucky, thank you to that shop and the manager, who was just so nice, genuine and made us feel very special and for the very first time had that whole fantastic ROLEX experience.
Needless to say I bought the watch and I am delighted. Have seen pictures but
Just cannot capture the true beauty of the dial and darker bezel.
Best wishes to all.
Will try to send pics but old school iPad and poor quality so pic won't be good, it will just make it more amazing when you see one for real!

Yeah, congratulations!

I went through the same feeling of amazement last week when I picked up mine. The wow factor of this dial really sets it apart IMHO. The royal blue is rich and fairly deep under regular lighting conditions.

Also, with the craziness around steel, two-tone makes sense.

Congratulations. It's a beautiful watch. I would be over the moon.

I might be reading your post wrong, but some aspects of your AD visit are puzzling, given that we are heading for a second lockdown, well in front of what will be the Jan/Feb winter surge.

They let "your family" walk into the shop? How many? They gave you drinks? For all I know it was all done with masks and Perspex screens and everybody was six feet apart and stood still, didn't mingle, didn't retrace their steps. But the drinks part suggests that that WOS were being too relaxed about it.

You clearly haven’t been into London recently Harry. I live in a village 30miles away and people cross the street to social distance, in town, restaurants and bars are packed and not much effort is made tbh.

Anyway, congrats to the OP, stunning watch and I’m sure WoS followed Covid secure procedures.

No I haven't been in London since last December. I hear London is a candidate for extra restrictions before a national "circuit breaker" arrives. Not difficult to see why.

And anyway again, congratulations to the OP. It's a stunner. Best of the new Subs IMO.

Wondering what the forums consensus is on the white text on the dial. As a 11 LB owner I 'm probably bias, but to my eyes the gold text of the previous models just looks right. The new white text certainly pops off the dial, but to me it detracts from the beautiful sunburst blue. It is a flashy watch and I just think more flash on the dial is not needed. I would not be suprised if the white text becomes the same situation as the flat blue dial from 2010-2013, that is, Rolex try to change things up a bit, but due to public demand it went back to the historical and well loved sunburst The gold text is subdued, classical and historical for this reference.
Interested in others opinions, and by the way, congratulations on your acquisition, a bluesy in any iteration is a beautiful thing !

Wow, she is lovely! WoS here in the States is always a wonderful experience (hi Angel in LV). Lucky in London indeed!

No walk-ins at my AD, and that is part of the WOS group, appointments only, masks 😷 on arrival until SA is behind the screen then they can be removed.

Welcome to the club! My new can’t take it off watch. The blue dial draws you in. I think there is an entire new appreciation for the bluesy. Congrats!

I have the 11 and more than happy, but seeing all the new happy owners of the 12 I’m thinking should I have waited (got mine in July 20) it just human nature that makes us think we want the latest, then I think the changes are only really noticed by TRF members so settle down, I will scratch my itch hopefully by getting the new Sub either LN or LV, waiting to visit my AD.
