A Moment in Time…
Recently returned from the Bahamas where my bride and I celebrated our 30th anniversary. This year’s celebration included the exchange of timepieces to commemorate a moment in time. My wife was smitten by the mint green Datejust on smooth bezel. I’ve been chasing the Skydweller for several years without any luck. I have a purchase history with my closest AD but wasn’t able to come through in a timely manner on either one of these pieces. Another AD out of state who I also have history with did come through. We were originally after the newer mint green dial Skydweller but that proved to be a fruitless endeavor. The small family owned AD came through in pretty short order, under 6 months for both pieces. He offered up the white dial Skydweller and we decided to get it because we didn’t think we could get another shot before our anniversary. Ironically, my local AD called 2 weeks later and offered the black dial Skydweller. Had to pass and hoped it went to someone who would appreciate it. We bought both pieces and had them in the safe for nearly 6 months before we broke them out for our special occasion.
Sorry for the long winded story but hope everyone enjoys. Shout out to Loring & Company family owned AD in Huntsville, Al who has treated me very well over the years and took pride in helping us commemorate our special day.  Wear em in great health everyone! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
