No more Daytonas...
Just spun off my last one. Going to stick with Rolex for Subs, Datejusts and Day Dates... Vacheron for chronographs.
We'll see if it lasts... |

Now you can rest knowing you tried it. I really like a Daytona and its a watch I enjoy more the longer I have it. The Submariner is my #1 though. Nice thing is you didn't fall in love with something thats easy to unload.

Agreed. I don't gel with the daytona either.

The Daytona OF appears smaller than the ones on bracelet

I love Daytonas … they are taking up all my wrist time. The good news is we all like different watches. It would be boring otherwise.

I’m down to one, and sometimes I feel like as a “collector” I need to have a Daytona in my collection… Who knows, I like it, but Daytonas aren’t for everyone.

I had tried to like a Daytona but never could, even turned down a pre-ceramic black dial before the hype..i like the case shape and slim lugs for the comfort and aesthetics, the dial is hard to read for me and it missed the point for the function IMO.

I mean the Cornes de Vache is one of the nicest chronographs I've ever seen, so I kinda get that VC thing.
I go back and forth on my Daytona as well, not sure if it will last in the rotation. If I sell it I probably will give up on chronographs, I would have owned and sold arguably the two most famous ones (Daytona and Speedy) and neither would have stuck so I might not be a chrono guy. I definitely do prefer divers. |

Nothing wrong with that. I personally love my Daytona’s, and the model has always been hugely appealing to me, that will never change. However, they aren’t for everyone.

I’ve always felt this. I’m grateful for your confirmation of my suspicions without my having to buy one

Couldn’t ever give up my preceramic 116520. Timeless black and steel.

Odd post.
There are so many watches out there that I would love to try, I don’t really have the resources or time to buy the ones I don’t like to try and change my own mind! I do like the Daytona and it would be in the top 5 of chronographs I am likely to buy - but not at current premiums… |

What a strange post "Hey everyone! Guess what, I'm not going to keep buying Daytonas now cos I realised I don't like them"... Thanks for that. Now this will just turn into a post of people jumping in saying how much they don't like the Daytona too and you're right... What a waste of everyone's time lol |

Yeah, I've thrown away all my VCs. Tried to like the weird bezel, but I just can't do it. I'm going bespoke from now on.

The new 126500 are a tad bigger and maybe a little easier to read due to the new spacing out of the dial with it’s new hour markers |

Not everybody's taste. Lots of great chrono options out there - AP, VC, Omega...

Some times you have to try a reference (multiple times) to know if it’s right for you.
