Local Rolex dealer Wouldn’t take my order

Yesterday I visited my Local Rolex and tried to place an order but they refused to take my order without reasonable excuse.

In the past 10 years I bought 6 watches from them for me and my family which we still own.

Why would they refuse my order? How do I file an official complaint to Rolex?

Thank you.

They probably have enough orders that you would not receive it this decade.

This situation was created by Rolex, it is what they want.

The Rolex dealer told me they simply do not take orders. If they had too many orders they should say so. But instead I was only told “We dont take orders”

Dealers are not required to take orders for their products.

What, exactly, would be the complaint that you would be making, and who do you think could force the Dealer to do something different just for you?

The daily post (often a first post) by yet another person who thinks it is their right to buy a watch from an AD at MSRP.

Clearly you’re not in the proper standing to get the watch you want. Buy more or look elsewhere but you’re one of millions in this situation.
Complaining on forums or complaining to Rolex will get you NOTHING

Was this a special model which is only supplied to order? Most Rolex watches are given to people when the get to the front of a waiting list. It can take from months to several years. Many ADs do not accept new requests to go on a waiting list because their lists are already long. Might this be what the dealer tried, and failed, to communicate to you?

I've asked about orders as well.

and despite the recent social media news reports of price corrections, your AD opportunities are not any better than they were 6 months ago. We are not even back to when AD's will put you on a list for about any SS Professional model. It is what it is..... Just adapt and adjust your buying tactics and expectations.

Untrue, they absolutely will put you on a list for a professional model. Some have computerized lists and if you go back in to inquire a couple of months later, they pull up your info. Also, more incomings from ADs lately and reports from the front lines of increased supply. One guy reported in another thread he got a SS Sub Date 3 weeks ago in < 2 months from Mayors I believe, no spend history.

ADs cannot send orders in to Rolex if they have infilled orders. My AD has 87 infilled orders so cannot order anything for anybody. Also if Rolex cannot fill order in 16 weeks they are canceling existing orders even if you’ve been waiting for a year.

You file a complaint by buying other, way more interesting watches, both horlogerie wise, and non douche wise, than Rolex. The brand has gone down the toilet. It’s the Tommy Hilfiger of
Watches circa 1997.

I have AD’s in multiple states from my travels. If traveling is not an option, grey is the other option.

Another Entitlement thread. Disgusted and dismayed that probably the world’s most recognized brand doesn’t have any available products to sell and doesn’t know when they will. Instead of this shining badly on Rolex, this thread validates the exclusivity that brands of this genre seek. Move along, nothing to see here.

I doubt you need to worry. One one year time, he will be begging you to buy his watches at 50% discount for SS watches.

Do you want to make a complaint? What reason do you provide and what will you do if Rolex does not reply to your letter / e-mail or any other form of correspondence? Will you feel satisfaction after something like this?

Look at it this way,.....If your order had been taken and the watch arrived in 12 months, you would be expected to pay the full price list. If you keep checking the AD window in about a years time, who knows, the watch might be sitting there waiting for a buyer? Now you can ask 'how much discount'?
