Some Omega Speedmaster Advice?

Whats up everyone?


Im trying to help a friend pick up a watch for the 1500-2500$ range. I told him the best brand name watch I can think of for that price is going to be a Omega Speedmaster.If anyone can think of a better watch feel free to tell me. Anyways, some questions I have are

-What reference # speedmaster should I go for?
-How much should I pay for that reference?
-How reliable is it?
-What must the watch come with?

The watch must have a steel bracelet. No straps.

I am a total noob when it comes to Omegas so please forgive my stupidity in this subject.
