Lady-Datejust 279171 - hard to find?
Hello Rolex Friends!
Long time lurker here, rarely make posts or add comments. Been in love with Rolex since I was a kid and my best friends father showed me his yellow gold day date. Hoping I can learn a little bit about an impulse buy my wife just made. She's been talking about wanting a ladies rolex for some time now. She has a medium sized Cartier Ballon Bleu automatic. She also wears my 34mm Rolex Date 15200 (oyster, smooth bezel, white face w black romans). We were near an AD that I've never visited before and decided to stop in. We ended up walking out with a Lady-Datejust 279171. Two-toned steel and everose gold, jubilee, fluted bezel, rose face with diamond markers. Sorry for the stock photo, all of the real pics are on her phone. She's happy with the purchase, and I appear to have started a new AD relationship. It was, of course, time to start researching this impulse buy once I got home. There aren't many for sale on the typical grey sites. Some are either right at MSRP or have asking prices over. I'm not finding any sold pieces to see what they really go for. I suppose it does not matter, as the watch is hers and she's not going to sell it. But nevertheless, I'd like to know what you all think. Thanks in advance for your comments. |

Agreed. Congratulations! I’ve always liked the way Rolex does jewels on one of the indices (I’ve seen it on the VI on some models).
