Need Advice for my Royal Oak

Hey everyone, i’ve been browsing here and created an account to ask for some advice. I have owned a 15410BC since 2018. It’s the same as a 15400 just white gold case with frosted finish. In mid 2020, the movement stopped working. The boutique completely replaced the movement with another one. But last month the same problem happens again. Boutique tells me they will replace another new movement.

I am considering selling this watch after I get it back, however I am also reluctant to do so because it’s one of my favourite RO in my collection and also my only frosted/limited edition. I’m afriad after it comes back from service that it breaks again and I have no more warranty, then it will be a $$$ bill to fix. What would you guys do in my case?

I’d move my wrist more.

Sadly winding it or wearing it doesn’t start the movement at all which is why I sent it in.

Each time you watch comes back from a service, you get warranty for the service provided, for 2 years, don't you. If you truly admire the watch, I would keep it.

I do like it, and yes will be under warranty until 2023. But am just starting to lose faith in the Caliber 3120, not sure if you guys have similar experience as me or not. Would be a shame to let it go..but if it keeps causing me headaches and spending months in service, I ask myself “what’s the point?”

Just keeps it for now, if it happens again, just complains with the boutique and enquire for 15500OR. You might have a better chance to get it faster than normal and you can sell your 15410BC later.

Seems like a 2023 problem. If it doesn't break again keep it. If it breaks or if you fall out of love with it, then drop it.

Also, 3rd option is if it breaks again close to end of warranty, ask them to extend the warranty given the movement problems.

Didn’t know this is possible. Thanks for the advice.

I already have 15400OR, I like the 15410 because it is one of the few frosted ones in 41mm. If I sell mine I’m not sure what RO to replace with. Anyone have suggestions?

AP service are generally very accommodating so if your having continuous problems during warranty, I’m sure they will do something for you near the end of warranty if your still having issues.

Agree with the above, with the history of this watch I'm sure AP will cover you even if you are out of the warranty, within reason.

According to my experience the 3120 is a pretty sickly caliber. Maybe that's why it has been replaced for a new one and not because of its size.
