A couple of changes
Hey Guys,
I've been trying to stop myself from buying another Rolex and I thought this might be therapy. The Seiko SKX007K with some Bill Yao bits, The quality of the parts is very good and both my watchmaker and myself were impressed with the fit and finish. I ordered the sapphire crystal as I was sick of the hardlex crystal scratching and decided whilst there to give it a different look with a MOD dial and hands. Aaron |

Bill Yao does some great dials and hands for Seiko and several Rolex dials all his work I have see has been very high quality.

Nice Aaron, it looks really sharp! How is the Yao lume compared to the OEM lume?
I just got an email from Bill Yao where he said he's considering doing an Panerai hommage dial for the Seikos. I think that would look awesome too. BTW, Bill seems like a decent guy too! Last edited by Atomic; 16 February 2006 at 12:27 AM.. |

Thanks Padi. Looks pretty bright! Certainly moreso than a Rolex.
This is great food for thought. I would love to Yao-ize my Monster. Hell just getting a sapphire crystal on it would be a quantum leap forward. I love the sword hands, but I want both the hour and minute hands to be true sword hands, which means I would have to buy two sets of hands from Bill. |

Hey Guys,
Thanks for the comments.I am very happy with the outcome and the watch just looks so simple and understated. It actually has a Tritrium lume marker symbol on the dial but I think I read somewhere that the lume used was Super Luminova.Needles to say but Padi's picture shows the result. If you considered doing a modification as such I would recommend it as the results are brilliant. Aaron. BTW. What Rolex to buy next I haven't decided what model I like the best and having owned most models (GMT II,Seadweller and 2 Subs) last year it is still a tough decision..............But it sure is fun trying to figure it out. |

Aaron, I am totally digging that look. I think if he doesnt go with a Panerai hommage dial, the one you chose is the one I would want. With the hands you chose as well. But I think I would want an aluminum chapter ring to eliminate the minutes on the dial (since theyre on the bezel).
