Icon17 White 5711 & 5980 pics - AND - white & black 5980 comparison pics

Excuse the long title guys

Ventured over to my nearest PP AD who had the new Basel 2012 models in, bar the white 5726 (he's getting this for me) - snaps to follow

I must say I absolutely love the white models! A lot of pop and they look amazing & classy!

The polished plots on the bracelet look dark at angle and work very well with the dark indicies. Love it!

Few snaps below for everyone to enjoy...

Thank you very much for sharing Anders! Although I prefer the classic grey and blue dials pictures of the actual white models give us a great idea of how they really look! They are beautiful indeed!

agreed carl. a white dial PP would be a great addition

but you also need to be sensible and practical and i think, if you had to, shifting a white Nautilus might be a struggle or come at a grim loss

the white dials are also the ones that come with the biggest AD discount...

White dial is so beautiful. One really needs to try it on wrist to appreciate its beauty. But I totally agreed with you that there may be a bit uncertainty on its resell value. If i am keeping it and wont sell, 5711 white will be the winner over blue.

Which white dial Pateks are you referring to re: largest discounts? Certainly not the Nautilus?

I believe he does but as compared to the blue and grey dials.

The white 5980 is unbelievable. I wanted to like the 5726 with the bracelet, but I like mine with the strap much better. Thanks for posting.

Great post - thanks for the amazing pics!

The white certainly is nice. It does make it a completely different watch though - less stealth and it looses the magical lighting effect the blue dial has IMO. If I had the choice of two classics I'd go for a blue 5711 and a white 15202ST...

Haha .. Different story here in Asia, white selling like hot cakes and the blue dial now with good discount makes me itch to get a classic blue 5711 too. Btw thank you very much for the photos! Cheers mate! James

Yes, I've seen a blue 5711 on display, but a white one is sold to those on the waiting list only. Same story with the SS Daytona where the white dial seems more popular in the states, but the black dial is much more sorted after here.

The white dials are so much easier to read IMO. Plus I read on Hodinkee that the white dials come with white Luminova instead of green.

the white is so CRISP, but, there's just something so cool and classic with the blue.

Thanks for the pictures! We can always count on you to provide some visual motivation for the day, for those of us that are feeling uninspired at work. That 5980 is breathtaking!

The white dial Nautilus looks like a refugee from a washing machine factory. That dial loses all of the subtlety of the blue/gray dial. Let's hope Patek quickly put us out of our misery and delist it.
