"Difficult" Third Rolex >>>

...well fourth really, but the AK is now firmly welded to Lady Miss Psmith's slender wrist

Looking to add one of the above... or should I hold fire until Basel to see what's new ?

Currently have SS Sub Date and Exp II /black

( I'm also running a parallel thread seeking buying advice in Singapore: http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=65389 )

Thanks all

GMT IIc all the way. You'll have to wait the best part of a year to get your hands on anything launched at Basel.

Get the Gmt, that's what I did, because anything that comes out in basel will be available until the fourth quarter of the year

if you can wait then wait.but if you are really hot.its a toss coin between sub lv and gmt2c. IMO those two watches are significant pieces.lv coz its a 50th anniv sub, the green made it unique!will stop production soon! and the gmt2 C the first to bear the ceramic bezel innovation.both significant rolex art therefore in the modern era/time!

I like your thinking Sperry

Trouble is, her Ladyship is wanting to keep the AK and get a DJ...

(this could spawn a whole new thread...)

Wait for Basel ,but it will most likely not be in the shops until later in the year.

If you want one now:-

I would go for a vintage Datejust or whatever you like

But if its a sports no contest:-

I tried a TT GMT on yesterday and it was awesome

Best of luck in your choice

Wait for Basel...

Waiting, searching, imagining is the best part in the watch quest... cause from what i read as soon as you'll get the new one... you'll look for the next...

So at least you save 9 months more !! lol

Mine goes to Milgauss. It is simply beautiful. If not for the green crystal I would have gotten the black face myself. You have a diving watch and one with two-time zone. An anti-magnetic watch will complement your collection. It could even be seen as a bigger version of the DJ stick dial with an unique second hand.

I would normally say go for an LV but you already have a sub date. Go for the GMT IIc.

I do not understand why you would purchase the Sub LV or the GMT-IIC. Neither of them serve any functionality towards you, as you already own a Sub Date and an Explorer II.

I would not purchase the Milgauss. $6200-ish is ridiculous for a watch without a date.

Now that makes sense to me!!

I would grab the GMT-IIC for now and then lie low for a while. Wait and see what "atrocities" or "nicities" come out of Basel......and at what prices!!

Then......time will tell.

A bird in the hand is worth several in Rolex's bush. Grab that GMT-IIC......NOW!!

All the watches you listed can now be bought at very reasonable prices. In the case of the black Milgauss, I daresay you'll be able to wangle a double-digit discount from ADs in Singapore (the list price is S$8,500). So if you can't wait for Basel, you can rest assured you're not overpaying for whichever watch you choose. Good luck!
