First Rolex - 16014 !
It took me a few months to decide whether to go for a newer model or a vintage, but I realised there's a reason why my other watches are vintage (e.g., a 1964 Seamaster). For the next watch, I plan to get a Submariner, but since I'd actually like to use it when diving, I think newer one, for peace of mind, would be better than vintage for once
(photos taken on phone and before the bezel was cleaned). |

Congrats,
Also don't be afraid to buy an older submariner. I know a guy that bought his in 93 and till this day goes into the ocean with it. Still looks great and works just fine if you ask me. Rolex builds tanks not watches I have learned over the years. |

Fine choice for a 1st Rolex.
Classic DJ in quintessential SS w/WG bezel. You will not be disappointed. I have an older DJ on an Oyster bracelet. Also have an older Omega (pre-Seamaster dress style)… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Looks like it's in fantastic condition! Sounds like you're really going to take good care of it. Congrats on the watch.
