Grandfather's Datejust - looking for insight

So I joined this forum after being an observer for a long time, motivated by the fact that my grandfather in law said he's going to pass his two Rolexes to me when he passes (hopefully not anytime soon). Last week he showed them to me for the first time and I was both excited and now scared, both at the condition and the usual "is it real" questions. I apologize for some of the photos, as I was using my phone and taking them while my grandfather in law was there. For this thread I'll start with the Datejust. I'll make another thread eventually for his GMT Master II. From what I can tell it's a Datejust(duh), jubilee bracelet, F4 serial. It's got all the things I would attribute to a genuine Rolex although I haven't had a chance to look between the lugs. However my grandfather in law isn't a huge WIS, and for some reason sprayed laquer all over the inside of the bracelet, and got it on the case back and sides Luckily I used my fingernail and it comes off the case, so that at least gives me hope it can be removed and cleaned up. But the dial is not like many that I've seen, and I know he got it serviced, likely by someone shady (because who knows why). So I'm hoping that it's not too far beyond repair. The hologram sticker says 16233, which is apparently a popular choice for fakes. So I'm here looking for insight and hopefully confirmation that it's real and ophotoshave it someday I can return it to its former glory. Also should it be fake I don't think I'd tell him, he loves his Rolex for nice occasions and no point getting him mad about it. Anyways here are the pics. Important to note is that it runs 8 tic's/second, to my eye. Also I'm new here so if I'm not doing this right let me know. Thanks!

Thanks for the replies, I know there's issues with stating specifics if it's fake, but can you all narrow down as to why? PM is fine or not, don't want to mess with rules on here. Until I get my hands on it next time I visit to take off the bracelet to see what's going on, I trust all your knowledge more than mine!

Also here's another pic (albiet bad) of the dial area just to have more info, I figured the engraving and serial area looked somewhat normal, minus the bad shape / laquer.

It's just a nasty fake, sorry. It's enough to tell you that no F-serial Rolex ever had an engraved rehaut.

Thanks for the reply! Yea once I "inherit" it someday, it'll be time to get rid of it (proper dispoal of a fake...?). No point telling the grandfather in law, he's had it long before I was in the family, so what he doesn't know wont hurt him I suppose.

F serials (approx 2003 time frame) were not engraved on the rehaut - and besides that everything else looks just poor quality and wrong lettering...etc...etc...very fake. Try googling your full serial - bet it pops up on fake websites...the F serial is very popular on fakes.
