Sell 116710 BLNR to fund 126610 LV
Hi all -
I had a question I would apprecaite fellow forum members perspective on. I have just been offered an Sub LV at retail - but I would have to sell one to replace it. I have a pepsi, Daytona panda, last gen sub date (black) and a BLNR. I am actually a scuba diver, but also travel frequently. I also have the Tudor GMT. So, question is, do I sell the BLRN, collect some extra pocket money and buy the sub? |

No! Sell the other Sub, if you need the money to get the new one. If not, just add it.

Do you really want the LV or are you just excited by the idea of getting one at retail?

I would.
I prefer the LV over the BLNR and you already have the BLRO. |

Im with Kat. The LV would be a solid addition to that lineup. You probably won't wear the black sub much at all once you have the LV.

If you have 2 GMTs then I’d say sell the one you wear less. It would be hard to part with any of these imho. I guess it comes down to which GMT you like least. Good problem to have!!

GMTs are my favorite model. I owned a BLNR prior to acquiring a BLRO. Everytime I wore the BLNR I missed the best watch ever--the BLRO. Basically I owned the same watch with a different color bezel. I ended up selling the BLNR.
A month ago I purchased a Sub LV and really like it--I needed a diver in my collection. If it came down to a BLNR or LV for one watch I would select the GMT. In your situation I would add the LV and sell the BLNR. That being said I am looking to add a BLNR back to my collection. I fly to some dicey places and would rather lose my BLNR than BLRO. |

Since you have the BLRO, I'd sell the BLNR. I think having the green and black Subs would be more of a useful combo than the two GMT's.

I would probably sell the black sub (which I actually did do to get a BLNR)
but you have 3 GMT's so I see your point. |

I should have said the Black Sub 116610 was my first Rolex and a milestone watch, so letting that one go, really isnt an option for me. It carries a lot of sentimental value.

I own both and no way I would let go my BLRO for an LV.
As others have said, get rid of your current sub and replace it with the LV. But mark my words, you’ll have wished you found a way to add the LV and get rid of nine.

You could sell the BLNR or the sub since they are both kind of redundant considering your other watches.

Go LV with your collection. The new 41mm case is such an improvement of the previous one.

Yes, I agree with Kat unless you want one to dive only and the LV to wear as a daily or for special occasions. Then the GMT must go. This would be a hard one for me too.

Since you are unable to let go of the black sub which was also my thought perhaps you can just find a way to add the LV. You might regret selling the BLNR.

I think the LV and the BLRO compliment each other nicely, although I'd personally be chopping in the black Sub because I like divers but much prefer GMTs. You do you.

If I had this dilemma :
Do I like green in the first place? (Well no I don’t but let’s assume it’s yes)
If the answer were yes…I’d sell the Tudor. If I had to sell one of the same Rolexes you own…no way I’d do it.

Sell the black boring sub date especially if blnr is from the 116 series due to better movement more reliable

Sell the black sub
BLRO is for sure a keeper. I’d rather have two GMT’s in the collection than two subs Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
