Rolex Daytona Everose Gold vs Audemar Piguet Royal Oak 37mm Rose Gold

Hi,
I am female and I have just purchased a Rolex Daytona Everose Gold chocolate dial, which I like a lot.
However, I was on a waiting list for an Audemar Piguet Royal Oak 37mm Rose Gold white dial with diamonds and I just got a call from AP boutique saying that they have the watch reserved for me.
I can't have both, but I love them both. Could you please help me to decide? Which one would look better in a female?
Thank you !

This decision is too big for letting a bunch of strangers decide for you.

With that said, go for the AP :-)

If you can afford to own both at least for a short period of time, I would strongly suggest that. It’s great to ask for opinions here (most of us have), but obviously whichever watch sings to you the loudest and sweetest will be the one to outlast the other.

IMO you need to own both simultaneously to get a good grasp on this.

why should we make the decision for you ..?

Both are beautiful watches (even tho AP is far superior to rolex on all levels but its my opinion (since you asked for it)).

You decide.

All gold AP is next level IMO, but prone to scratches. Daytona more robust and day to day. Either are great pieces however.

Rolex Daytona Everose Gold vs Audemar Piguet Royal Oak 37mm Rose Gold

I think a Daytona looks really good on a woman and my wife has the steel ceramic with a white dial. My friends wife wears a steel Royal Oak and I’m pretty sure it’s the 15450 and it honestly looks amazing. I’ll get my wife a Royal Oak as her next watch.

IMO there are quite a lot of women wearing Daytonas now, wearing an AP is far more exclusive however brand awareness is far less than Rolex so if you enjoy loads of people acknowledging what you’re wearing it might be a lot less with AP.

The AP that is reserved for you is a stunning watch and the diamond bezel will stop the normal bezel scratches and give you a good amount of bling.

can't beat a gold AP, so that would be my choice. as mentioned, if you can afford to have both for a week or so that would help you a lot, but otherwise, i would go with the AP. that bracelet is just next level

I’d say find a way and get both. You won’t regret it.

I know a few ladies with rose gold AP's w/diamonds. They look amazing, and I feel might be a better look than the Daytona. Just my opinion, but I think it is a great choice.

I really would advise trying on both and seeing which you gravitate to more.

I personally don’t like AP ROs that much, but I love Daytona’s. Especially the rose gold choc dial combo. But that’s simply personal taste which is why really it should be your choice.

I’d be surprised if you couldn’t negotiate a discount on that AP.

Also your Daytona goes for about 5-7k above list if you sell to a trusted reseller or more if you sell privately.

While the Daytona looks quite stylish on you, my vote would be for the AP. Best wishes

I love both brands very much.

Rolex Daytona RG with Chocolate dial is beautiful timepiece.

AP RO 37mm RG with full bracelet and diamonds bezel white dial is gorgeous and very elegant.

I would say that AP would win for the look but the price is a lot higher too.

Did you get your Daytona from AD at msrp? If so, may be you can trade or sell by yourself at a premium price and use that money for AP without adding too much money to it.

This is my 4th rolex so I got it at retail price which is EUR 38,000 in Portugal where I'm based. I've seen it on sale on the grey market for 10k plus more. I've also seen one for 75k which is insane

I think you're missing one lovely aspect of forum culture, which is sharing, welcoming and asking for others opinions.

I don't think anyone, takes any single one post or even an entire thread and uses it to entirely make a decision like this.

People share their experiences with watches, the way it fits and sizes, whether it "wears" large or small, how the watches look with clothing whether you have a formal or casual style.

I've received plenty of help over the years here and like to think i've helped others as well, all without making decisions for anyone.
