I hate to do this

I never give fakes a second thought, and I hate to waste valuable space on this forum, so please excuse me, but I was surfing around ebay looking for some stuff and I came accross this.....

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MakeTrack=true

The fact is there are fakes out there, but I just thought that this was too funny.......what kind of watch is this

So a dial from HK RSC is only 210 HKD? (27 bucks!?)

Scroll down and check that pink receipt.

edit: I can't read, its just the bezel insert. I been thinking about getting a new dial for mine, just confused.

thanks for bringing that auction up, most of people bid on the last hour, and most of them wont look inot these details, thats why it is very important that we show examples of deception and cheat online.

that guy when i dchecked his feed back all of it private, so you cant check his previouse auctions, a proffessional croock

This kinda thing is going on on ebay . It seems that these sellers are doing professional redial work on genuine Tudor watches to say Rolex on the dial. The giveaway is the size of the date. The watches are politically correct. Tudor is a Rolex product. Personally, i don't like them, but I have seen a 5513 dial on a Full Size Tudor Sub with Tudor ETA movement and it sold for $2000+ maybe 2 years ago on ebay.

I sent the guy an email about his bogus watch. Here is what he replied....

First I resent your tone and expect an apology. We DO NOT sell FAKE watches.

Second we NEVER claim that this is a Rolex...in Fact we use a re-dialed factory Tudor dials (please note the Tudor NOT Rolex depth Rating), movements and go to great effort to educate potential buyers to the similarities and differences in the brand.

Third and last please provide your name and address and I will be more than happy to:

Call my account manager at Ebay to report your slander.

Call my attonrey and take any an all appropriate leagal action.

QuickSet Time

What an idiot....crooks usually hide behind the law, dont they!!!
Never claim it is a Rolex...how many times does it mention Rolex in the auction and why do you re-dial with the Rolex name.....

What ocean did this guy spawn in???????

I've got a Rolex Timex that I'm about to list. Runs off a 12 v car battery with a really neat gold mother of pearl dial and a tt rubber strap. I wonder if Quickset will sell it for me

Maybe I'm just resigned or cynical. But my feeling is, if people are going to let themselves be misled into spending big bucks on something they haven't vetted properly, let them. These are people who think they are going to get something for nothing.

We here know that if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. There are millions of people out there who haven't figured that out yet. It's not up to us to save the world. Just as it isn't up to the government to protect us from ourselves.

P.T. Barnum had it right: There's a sucker born every minute. As long as there are suckers, there will be the scammers who will take advantage of them.

You don't really want me to list all my posts that make sense, do you? We'd be here all day for that.

Rock :
i dissagree with you , most of the bidders on these watches, DONT know, the differnece between a lgitimate or a fake watch, and those CROOCKS are really good in the playing this game, i think we should report who ever we catch and expose them,

that paqrticular guy, the TUDOR-SUBMARINER guy i reported him , but as you have seen he managed to go through and sell his FAKE.

one of the sellers is selling an LV for $2500, and i just got an email from ebay stating that its relisted, because i added it to my watch list to see how it goes , no body bought it for that LOW buy it now price.

i know ebay is like a ZOO some bad fish eats the smaller ones but it is not fair and shouldnt be.

Ebay dont care, they make money they are happy. The pretend to care but bottom line is, they are in it to make money.

Mr redial my tudor to a rolex but its not a rolex even tho I said its a rolex sounds like a case 'truth hurts' to your email flyjet

Ummm there's a new Q and response at the bottom of the listing now.. saying that cos the watch is refinished it's lost its original water resistance! So yeh stick some fancy pants dial on the thing and totally destroy the watches main selling point.. its a Submariner it should be able to get dunked in the water! sheeeeeesh

I know Amanda. Somehow I though that if you participate in the sale of illegal goods you could be held responsible...but I guess eBay gets around that in some way.
