Speedy '57 reference check

Anybody know what reference this 57 Speedy is? It looks like RG but it might be YG, anyway it's gorgeous...

Neither of those are speedmaster 57s.

The speedmaster 57 name refers to the new models introduced two years ago with the 9300 movement.

Wow. Only thing worse than a snooty reply is a wrong snooty reply. How could a Speedy with '1957' emblazoned on the dial in red NOT be a Speedy 57 of some form or another?

It's the 57 Broad Arrow with 3314 movement.

YG with white dial is 321.53.42.50.02.001

also offered in RG with black dial: 321.53.42.50.01.001

These are with strap. Each was also offered on matching bracelet.

Like I said in my previous post. Neither of those watches are called the speedmaster 57.

That specific name is used for the new models released two years ago.

That one with the broad arrow is called the speedmaster 1957 broad arrow reissue. Or something to that effect.

Not the speedmaster 57.

My question is - what's the other one in that photo?

I'm pretty sure the other one is the "Doctors Watch" or "MD's Watch" from the Museum collection.

Thanks! I wasn't sure if 321.53.42.50.02.001 was the right reference since it's not in the current Omega catalog and it wasn't a part of the museum collection that this store grouped it with.

Yes, the MD watch.. Museum piece #10... I loved the museum collection, but Omega seems to just be mass releasing "inspired by" models tat would have otherwise been appropriate for the museum collection...

the Broad Arrow was an anniversary piece released in every metal.
I didn't think Syed177 was snooty at all, and agree that when speaking of "speedmaster 57" it reflects the 9300 calibre

Of course its just a semantic issue - that Broad arrow is one of the best re-issues out there, and wouldn't appear in the catalogue because of its limited run

Thanks super doc.

I really wasn't trying to be snooty. Just trying to be concise because I was out and couldn't take the time to post a longer reply about the other models.

You're welcome. I'm just now noticing typo in my reply though. It contains caliber 3313.
