The hidden clasp changes everything for me. I think it is the best rolex clasp by a mile. It makes the watch bracelet look much better.

Classic 16234 for me, something about the sexy and petite case.

I happen to like the older version (I have 2). Maybe I'm just biased.

I'm surprised they do not vote anymore for the classic design, its brushed and not shiny handles

Older style Jubilee clasp offers more adjust ability.

I received my five digit Datejust (16200, same same - but...) a few days ago and couldn't be happier. I really appreciate the brushed oyster and the case.

My girlfriend have a 116200 (which suits her very well) - but it's not for me. And it gives me a great opportunity to compare them side by side. I'm very pleased with my decision.

Side by side is 116200 slightly bigger and wears bigger. Due to the updated bracelet it's heavier. Almost like a SubC/GmtC. This I didn't like when I owned one. The 16200 is much sleeker (right word?) and is very comfortable when wearing.

I don't think you can go wrong with either.

Pick which ever one you like the most and feel is right for you. With all elements including cost, satisfaction etc!

Good luck and show us some pics once you get it! :)

I agree. The brushed and narrower case I like more.

The 16234 is mine. My father wants a Datejust and does not know whether to buy 16234 or 116234

The hidden clasp I do not like it very much, it's feminine. The classic clasp I adore

The old one because I dislike the shiny lugs and hidden clasp.

Mine are 41 years apart. I'll give the edge to the DJ41 but I do enjoy them both equally.

5-digit all the way. Just say no to fat, polished lugs.

Neither - hold off for Basel and see if a 126234 is released with same upgrades as the 126233 released this year. If it isnt I vote. 116234.

This above, plus the polished lugs and thicker lugs.

I also think the gold bezel looks larger and sharper, but I am not sure if this is the case or just my eyes fooling me.

I prefer the 5 digit, however, if I was buying today it would be the 6 digit because of the build and movement updates.

Classic...

I like the new ones, but they are a tab large for my taste.

Have you read the post? When you read it you will know that the question of the Datejust 36mm is for me father. Read before writing, thanks

You’re right, too much skim reading.

I like the thinner batons used on the older model, but like the newer movement and how the bracelet integrates into the case in the modern version
