Hello from Oklahoma!

My name is Chris and i live in a small village(lol) in Oklahoma....There isn't really a Rolex AD within reasonable distance to me so I have been doing all my research online. I'd love to be able to see one in person but after lots of online looking I have decided what I want. It will be a stainless submariner with date or the anniv. model...It will be my first Rolex(the most expensive watch I have owned to this date is made by Kenneth Cole so this is a BIG purchase for me). Im sure i'll find what im looking for here from the small amount of lurking I have done so far....I still have to figure these serial numbers out because i want a late model or new one...any help will be appreciated and thanks in advance!

Hi Chris! If you want a later serial than you'll be looking for an M or a V.

Hello I know where you are located at in Oklahoma, now look on the library section for help and then look in the for sale section.

TRF has some excellent sellers like DavidSW and
stevemulholland3 with excellent feedback.

Thanks!! I know there is probably a way to search most of this info and I will in time, but i am mainly interested in the serial #'s that have the inside of the watch face engraved if it is specific to a certain serial #...I am such a novice about these watches its almost embarassing. I have been pointed to some sellers by some people on one of the motorcycle forums i belong to...but there look like there have been some very pleasant transactions with some of members here...I just have to find the one with the watch i want now!!

Serial numbers are between the lugs on the 6:00 position and the model number is at the 12:00 positon. You need to remove the band to see them.

Welcome to TRF!

For the Subs, I believe the rehaut engraving started in the middle of the M series. This is where the chapter ring says "RolexRolexRolex" and the serial number is down centered around the 6 o'clock area.

As for availablility, why don't you try PMing TRF's trusted sellers and ask if they can get you what you want. I'm sure it wouldn't be difficult to source out what you want.

Happy Hunting!
