It'a been a minute . . .
After the excitement of receiving my Seamaster 60th Anniversary James Bond edition back in October on a Friday morning, that excitement quickly dissipated when I was informed that afternoon that I would be laid off on December 1st:
Well, of course, my priorities quickly quickly had to be refocused on landing a new opportunity. Fortunately, it only took me 9 week to find a new gig! Last July, I was the Summer Blue collection at the Los Angeles Boutique: But I really fell in love with the Planet Ocean: Unfortunately, it was bad timing. I was still waiting for my Bond and the Chopard Alpine Eagle XPS. So, I had to put that on hold. But after I couple of months on the new gig, I decided to finally 'pull the trigger' on one back in March: Since I travel every week for week, it's been my trusty travel companion: Getting back to my Bond, that mesh bracelet was not a good fit for my OCD. It would always leave an annoying gap on the inboard side of my wrist. With the shorter mesh bracelet, it would leave an annoying gap on the top onboard side of my wrist: When it was first announced, I was praying the standard bracelet would fit it: Fortunately, as folks started to receive their pieces, in quickly confirmed that it would fit. Unfortunately, it was quite a challenge getting the bracelet. Back in May, I was able to purchase one from my OB, but they didn't have the appropriate spring bars! In the meantime, the day I purchase the bracelet, I asked them to be put on the list for the white dial Speedmaster Moonwatch. Well, I "got the call" a couple of weeks ago and had it shipped to me: Had to wear my Ed White that day! What a beauty! Comparison lume shot! For the 4th of July extended holiday weekend, I headed to NYC to visit the OB and had a few additional links removed from my "Snow White:" Finally, I had the opportunity to have them mount the standard bracelet on my Bond: Apologies for the long post. In addition to the loss of the job and my travel schedule, I had to find another 3rd party photo host! Stay safe! |

Congrats on the new gig. Love the 60th ‘Bond’ on the new bracelet, it’s like a proper modern update to the original ‘Brosnan era’ piece.
Love the PO too - best of the ‘summer blues’ in my opinion. The dial is sublime, like a faded denim. |

Super cool pieces congrats!! How did you find the ultra deep in the metal? Considering one but haven’t gotten to try it on.
