Platinum DD40 versus Platona - REFRESH POLL

I haven't seen this particular THIS (Platinum DD40) or THAT (Platona) POLL in a while (apologies if I missed it), so please cast your vote. Which do you prefer?

.
The Platinum DD40 dial is the one of your choice for the purpose of the poll.

so close for me. If the DD came with a fluted bezel and some type of micro adjustment on the bracelet, it would be a no brainer. But it doesn't. So for those reasons... I'm out (Shark Tank shout out lol).

The choco bezel disqualifies the Tona and I love Daytonas

Both incredible watches...true grails.

I voted for the DD because I love that motif stick dial in Stephen's pic and also prefer having the day and date.

But I would take a Platona if someone wants to send me one.

If I had a 5170P, that might color my thinking.

For a watch that heavy, a perfect fit is a must and micro adjustments are important. My Platona fits more snug than my other watches, but it needs to because of the weight.

Surprised so many vote for the day date...as much as I love the dial.....I just can't see past not having a fluted bezel...and I didn't even like fluted bezels before owning a day date...doesn't look right without one.

The 116506 is awesome in every way...weight, color scheme, contrast....all the talk about the brown...I wonder how many has judged after actually wearing it on the wrist. It is amazing and the modern Rolex for me.
