114060 too good to be true.

Guy is selling locally a 114060 I’ve asked for photos of the chapter ring, between the lugs and other side of warranty card... here’s the photos I got thus far. Price is too good to be true and want to cover all my bases.

He’s asking 4,000 USD which would be a steal, and of course this raises my suspicion even more. Cheers boys for the help!

Have a look.

Watch in the pictures is genuine. You won’t be getting that though. $4k is far too cheap. It’s a scam.

Looks two different watches.
Box colors are very different.
One is fake with known fake serial number other is a legit watch

Interestingly there’s an awful (IMO) app called schpock & about once a month I fire it up and search ‘Rolex’. I only do it to see that scams and comedy.

The latest thing seems to be similar cheap genuine watches but the seller asks for a deposit of £500 and he’ll “send it out for you to inspect” or just a £300 deposit to “hold the watch”

Never ceases to amaze me the people on there taken by it, you can see buyer replies and offers to the adverts.

Mind you, what a nightmare place that is to sell something nice if you have a genuine Rolex! I must confess I’ll just have a search to read the offers and replies from buyers as it angers yet amuses me in equal measures. Some of the offers chavvy users will make is just hilarious “£900 CASH!” Amazes me the sellers are so polite most of the time.

Definitely too good to be true. You will get burned one way or another here. Walk away smartly. One can not even buy a discontinued 16610 for 4K

I can only see one watch I’ve googled serial number, nothing comes up? So where’s fake serial number? If it’s local go and see it, don’t take any money with you though meet at an A/D if it’s genuine and that’s the price then go and get your cash.

1 watch - 2 boxes
The fake box had fake papers.

Must admit I’ve looked a few times and can’t see two boxes? If you’re referring to the two ‘watch in box’ pics where the material looks lighter/darker, it’s the same box just from a different angle exactly 1 min apart.

Not touching it. Honestly I was gonna snag it and resell it if it was genuine but I’m walking away from it. As the old saying too good to be true most likely is.

He won’t respond to further texts asking for receipts, numbers on the case and bracelet and won’t send me clasp code...

Worthless POS.

the number of incredible deals out there is a LOT lower than you think with a Rolex. Finding a watch posted on line at this price? Almost a guaranteed scam/fake....
