Trading two for one

Hi All

I know it's ultimately my decision, but I'd like to hear from the community if you think this is a reasonable trade.

I have a full set 2021 Rolex Yacht-Master 42, reference 226659 and an unworn, 2024 Omega Snoopy 50th Anniversary Reference 310.32.42.50.02.001.

I'm considering trading both for a 2022 Rolex Daytona 116519 LN. The seller wants £800 in cash but I think he'd agree on £500.

Would you do it?

All comes down to how bad you want that Daytona and how you feel about the two you currently have

I have traded 2-3 watches for one. It depends on you. I will tell you the 116519 Daytona is one of my favorite watches. It works in so many settings and I have been told how sporty the watch is. Most don't know it's a Rolex.

Now that is a tough choice. I can see plus points and minus points to doing the trade or not. Normally I’d say don’t do it but in this case it’s a close call

The Yachtmaster is a really nice watch. I don't think I'd wear the Speedmaster much. The Daytona is my favorite all around model, so I'd have to say yes, I'd do the trade.

Easy no for me and especially with the cash on top. Its all relative and only you know what that Daytona is worth to you

No way, seeing it's the 11 series Daytona. If it was the 12 series, maybe.

A big yes
The yachtmaster is easy to replace
The Omega to me not desirable, another variation of speedmaster.
The Daytona being attractive , PM and uncommon.

Seems like a lot to give up, but I don’t know the second hand values.

Do it if you'll wear the Daytona. Better to wear what you love then having safe queen that you don't wear.

Huge NO, that would be a crazy trade in the wrong direction and this is coming from a Daytona owner.

Personally I think you add the Daytona and enjoy all of them…

Thanks for your opinions all. It seems to be an equal split. I'll give it some more thought over the weekend.
