Watch case for a bank safe

I keep my collection in a bank safe excluding 4-5 watches that are in my current rotation. Previously I used a couple watch rolls in the bank safe or I would store them in the Rolex boxes they come in.

Recently I started looking for a watch case that would fit inside my bank box that would hold more capacity for a quicker and easier swap when I change out the rotation. Also, I am needing more capacity as my collection grows (problems.... TRF related problems) which led me to Underwood. Pictured is what arrived today, a 10 watch case in carbon fiber. It’s beautiful and I think it will fair well with the minor dings and wear-tear of getting loaded in and out of the bank safe. I threw my current rotation into the case to make the pics a little more interesting. Off to the bank it goes in the morning....

I travel often and have staff at my home daily. For several reasons I don’t feel comfortable leaving my collection home while I’m away.

Safes are not really that well made and can be broken into if the right person comes along. I do feel my bank is harder to infiltrate and is secured to a greater extent.

When I get to the bank, I want to quickly swap out pieces and be on my way. This case will enable me to do so, and the bank box will hold two of these (20 watches).... so now I can add a few more. Time to get adding to the collection.... lol

If u have a staff ( uh huh ) and your watches are the most valued possession then imho you need to rethink your staff and then rethink your other possessions Sorry. The time it would take for a person, under camera once In, would alert the police and had them filmed plenty for the arrest in my safes

I don’t wish to share intricacies of my business or otherwise. I was simply sharing some pics of a nice Underwood watch case.

Box looks great. What works for you is personal. Some people have such negative responses. Some people like to stir things up.

Sounds like you need to hire someone like me to keep an eye on you property and watches and watch your "staff". When is the interview?

I can’t find the exact mode I have but here is another 10 watch case with a storage compartment in carbon fiber.... very similar:

It’s a good case, however I find their holders a little large

This is a really old thread and the case looks nice...but I have to ask...why not get a security safe? For a quarter of the price of a Submariner, you can get a safe that even skilled criminals with powered cutting tools would struggle to penetrate in a reasonable amount of time, and one that could easily survive a home fire where the house is completely destroyed. Even if you still keep some at the bank, it would be a lot more convenient for your very nice collection.

even if you catch the thief, your watch will be long gone

And it’s not really carbon fiber, it’s leather stamped to mimic carbon fiber. Still, a very nice case though.

Exactly, this is not carbon fiber. Its just vinyl with a fake carbon fiber pattern stamped on it.

Well the manufacturer’s website says leather but yes, not carbon fiber.

Nice case.

However, it would make more sense IMO to have a safe and good insurance coverage at home.

Years ago when I kept a few of my watches in the bank safe deposit, I put them in my gym socks (washed of course) and stuffed them in the box and that was that. Did not even think about that.

The bank’s insurance won’t cover safe deposit boxes.

I totally agree. I think it’s safer to put in the bank safe when you aren’t home for long period of time.

That is a beautiful setup. way too nice to put in a safe!! I just use Oakley watch vaults and Case Budi singles. My bank box is long and skinny so a nice box like that won't work.

Sad to say that I used to have a nice display in my office with all my watches in their boxes with all the hats, pens and other swag. It was a nice distraction to look at while toiling away on the computer!

Several years ago my town had a bunch of random break ins. Just kids going into unblocked houses and grabbing whatever the could see like wallets and cash. Since then they all go in a bank vault except 2 that I keep out to wear. I hate that we need to do this.

I may consider installing a nice safe some day soon.
