AP grail acquisition ✅

Finally got my GRAIL watch, it took years of hunting and waiting until it finally arrived.

Having a number of amazing AP pieces and spending hours and hours and hours of going down the rabbit hole of AP I discovered the Tuscany Dials and that was the one for me!

I was finally able to acquire the 25820PT.OO.0944PT and it is a site to behold. Even better than pictures could ever do it justice

Of course once I got her, She immediately was off to AP service center and now she is gone for 2-3 months 😂 oh how cruel life is!!!!

Wow outstanding Tuscan dial perpetual!

These oldies but goodies are impossible to find, let alone in mint condition. No worries, with a little servicing I'm certain the watch will run flawlessly!

Yeah when I got it everything worked fine but I didn’t try to adjust anything until it was serviced

The good news that I received from the AP service center was that everything was in good working condition and nothing needed to be replaced WHEW!

I ordered the new booklet and archives for the watch and they are doing a service and giving her some love!

Grail indeed! I was not a fan of the Tuscan dials when the 16202BC came out, but after wearing one for a while in a boutique I changed my mind. Very nice indeed.

The AP Tuscan dial pieces are absolute tops, congratulations!
I imagine this must have an epic story behind it as part of process of you acquiring it.

It was in an abandoned safe deposit box and I got it at an auction for an amazing deal.

Retail is the same as for the other PM Jumbos, IIRC. I was switching between exhibition models of the WG and steel Jumbos - the difference in weight and sheen was striking.

Please share feedback and pics of that! What a crazy cool thing that must be.

I’ve been on the list for the 16202bc since the day it was released. Really hoping it will come through. Just seems like the ultimate to me: white gold, extra thin, blue dial, special dial (none of which I have). Pics I’ve seen have just been ok but I know it’s a banger.

Amazing watch. When will you get the watch back from service?

As you mentioned in a different topic, this watch was bought through an auction or how did you manage to find one?

She’s home and I have left her wrapped and on the winder programmed to the recommended settings

Yes I added a second level of wrapping on the dial on top of the plastic wrapping from the factory
