SOTC September 2023 (not just Rolex)

I find that I may have some overlap here and there but otherwise i'm pretty satisfied with how far i've come in my collecting journey. All of these pieces were allocated to me by either a boutique or AD with the exception of my AP Chronograph which was already discontinued once I discovered it's beauty.

Atm I'm considering adding a Oyster Perpetual 41mm with a yellow dial but i'm also in no rush to spend a market value which is 3x the price of what it was at retail

any suggestions on pieces I should add, subtract or consolidate into? all opinions are welcome

(Not pictured is my DJ41mm Rhodium Dial which is my first purchase and currently getting wrist time with my dad)

Regards

What a great collection Cass

I’ve just gone through a bit of a consolidation myself and I’m very happy with where I’m at.

As long as you wear and enjoy each one of these, I’d stay put. I can’t imagine adding anything, but that’s me (and my new minimalist approach ).

My favs are the AP 39MM Chrono and YM. Awesome collection. How does it wear against a 40/41mm Rolex sports model.

SOTC September 2023 (not just Rolex)

AP perpetual (?) calendar and WG Daytona are standouts for me!

Bright dial as you mentioned or a BLRO would be nice additions.

Nice collection!

I always liked that panda ROC. Wish I had picked one up when I had the chance.

Not too crazy about the TT Explorer or the DD with the diamond bezel.

Between the ROC and the AP QP... i dont really see the need for the AP selfwinding.

Tough to imagine an occasion where I would pick the Cartier instead of the VC. I think it looks great in the collection but i dont see it getting much wrist time.

Same story with the divers... tough to imagine a situation I would pick the JC over the sub.

I would cut the JC, Cartier, the DD, the TT explorer and the AP self-winding. Maybe add a PM skydweller on OF.

Love it! I’d drop an AP and add a Patek.

Amen

I've played with the idea of moving the James Cameron & BLNR...Which would hopefully get me into a Yellow Oyster Perpetual. Neither of them get much wrist time at the moment but I cant imagine traveling abroad without having a dual-time piece

The 15510 is an Olive Green which gives some diversity for outfits

hahaha I get that a lot with my TT Explorer tbh, but it's a great travel piece in my opinion and I absolutely love the size

To be honest neither the VC or Cartier get much wear but when they do they wear very well and are great conversation pieces. definitely keepers

Not a big fan of the Skydweller as I do lean toward smaller pieces minus my JC

Thanks for your input

Ideally I'd like to own both of these pieces in my lifetime but I've yet to find a Patek Sales Associate that would take me seriously. There's really no rush. one day...

Excuse my pic of the 5990. I was really excited

Amazing collection brother!! What about something on jubilee? Maybe the new GMT on full gold jubilee bracelet? Or a RG DD could be cool since you don’t have any rose gold.

Since you have the one VC have you considered an Overseas? Can change straps and add a lot of versatility that way.

Let us know what you decide to add!

Not many people can pull off a 36mm Explorer and a 44mm James Cameron. Amazing diversity.

You're right! I don't own any pieces on a Jubilee. i'd probably prefer to get a SS Pepsi over a YG Rolex GMT but I'm hoping to get a call for the WG Pepsi Meteorite Dial at some point in my life

Not a huge fan of VC sports models

I sure will
