Aerospace Lovers

Came across this beautiful piece this morning and new it would be something I’d want to add to my collection.

Has anyone seen this beauty yet ? Limited to 50 pieces, UAE only, Saw one on chrono selling for around $10,000. For around that price though I would rather pickup the Breitling Premier Datora in Salmon. It’s prices slightly higher. Thought I’d share this find today.

Have a great weekend.

Very cool, Bobby! This is my first time seeing it. They'll be hard to come by given the low production numbers. At the rate they're currently going for when available I would probably explore other options as well.

I knew some others would like it. I’m going to keep this one bookmarked incase the price falls into a decent range. Not so sure though as you mentioned the low production will make it super hard to come by. If only they offered this piece in other colors, for now the only colors we seem to be able to really grab are blue and a black.

Cool watch and I like the salmon dial but the price makes me walk away. I tried on the stock blue dial the other day at my AD and it was nice but not nice enough for me to buy.

I often see these with the display dark. Does the aerospace always show the date, or does one have to press the crown to activate it?

It’s very nice - love the salmon dial. That being said $10k isn’t going to happen.

While I haven't owned an Aerospace for 10+ years, on the older model I had, you adjusted the crown to select which display you wanted; one of the options was blank/black.

I fell in love with the EVO a few summers ago on a beach vacation in Hatteras. I wear it all the time. It's the perfect tool watch, travel watch, watch to wear while shooting, and watch to wear when you want to wear a nice watch without screaming "Look at my watch"!

Thanks for that. But sounds like there was an option that the date would display permanently.

Viewed this post a couple of times, and I have to say that’s an absolutely stunning watch!

These choices of colour are a strange thing, but just a slight difference in a shade or tone can make a huge difference to the look of a watch. Some makers never seem to get it right, and end up looking cheap.

Breitling, like Rolex, have always got these colours spot on. Especially the pastel tones. I think they manage to get them very “flat”, which combines well with their anti reflective crystal.

I generally work up to any watch purchase, and mull it over for months, but the only watch I ever bought “on impulse” was my Chrono Cockpit in a matte blue. Loved it on sight, and still do!

I don’t own an Aerospace, and wouldn’t normally like that salmon colour, but I would have been very tempted to impulse buy that too (depending on price)!

In an era when so many dealers are stocking basically the same items, I really do commend the UAE dealers for making the effort!

Gratuitous Chrono Cockpit picture.

Nice! Definitely unique and one of a kind. Doubt you’ll see those pop up for sale often.

That salmon dial is fantastic!!! I didn’t know they made the Aerospace in that color. An aerospace or an endurance pro will hopefully be my next purchase.

That's an interesting looking watch. The LED screen has me confused. I don't know whether to like it or not.

I love blue and I saw the Blue and Black dial at the AD here in South Africa. The blue / silver combo does it for me.
The display goes blank if its not used (battery saving). This watch has a minute repeater which apparently is unheard of at this price. Usually found in watches much more expensive! The titanium case makes it eerily light! I actually asked the AD "is this a Breitling?".

The digital interface (and even the digital font) is the same as that used by the Dunhill DM7 (except for the minute repeater). Even the control is the same.

I still can't figure out the need for a rotating bezel in a non-dive watch.

Oh, and did you spot the useful conversion table on the rear of the Aerospace. As an Engineer, I found this VERY useful as I'm forever trying to do metric conversions from Imperial in my head !
