It´s been almost six years...

...since I´ve posted an incoming thread on here.

Left home with my beloved 5167A...

...to visit my AD for a little family reunion...

I really really need to do that too........ I just prefer the simple Aquanaut to all the other configurations and think the 5167R is probably the one I need alongside my 5167A.

Thanks all.

After the first six hours on the wrist I can say that it wears totally differently than the SS version due to the added weight. The new clasp version seems to open more easily compared to the older style clasp, not sure yet if I like it this way or if it needs adjusting.

I also decided not to have the strap cut to the same length as on my SS 5167, I left the RG one a little longer on each side. Maybe my old strap became a bit loose over the past years.

Very happy with it, even if it is the same reference it is a totally different watch so I think both can have their place even in a small collection.

Congrats! Love the 5167R. I am not sure what makes it so much better than the steel but it just works. Add the khaki strap and forget about it..... perfection.

I agree, the gold and steel versions feel different enough that you could have them in the same collection.

Lovely piece! Been a while since I had a PP incoming too, can't see much to move me at the moment, pretty settled.

Now that’s a pair! Congratulations!

Thanks for the comparison/feedback on the new clasp. I’ve wondered about the differences myself and if it’s an actual improvement.

Thanks everyone, really enjoying this one.

I was quite concerned that PP will discontinue the 40mm Aquanaut at some point (maybe 2022 for the 25th anniversary) so I had to get one as the 42mm references wear simply too large for my wrist.
