Another trade question

I have been offered a 116610LV and 126710BLRO on jubilee in exchange or my SD43 and (gulp) Day-Date. Straight up deal.

Looking at my collection…the black diver corner is well covered by my 114060 and my beloved birth year 16660 and 16800…and my LHD is fairly similar to the SD43. The DD is hard to replace. I also don’t really wear it. Comfortable? Yes. Gold? Yes. Amazing? Yes. Getting worn? Never. I usually grab my overseas or DJ.

I previously owned a hulk and sold it when I (stupidly) thought the market was insane. Turned into a beloved home gym and that was worth it but still like the watch. The BLRO on jubilee is an excellent piece and every time I see one I want one more.

Okay after all that rationalizing…dumb trade? Am I giving in to FOMO? Am I intelligently moving pieces to diversify my steel collection with pieces I’ll wear? Thanks in advance, enable away.

I wouldn't trade a PM for a dime a dozen SS sports model. I don't like trying to make sense out of trades when there are more than 2 watches involved. Here you have 4 and that makes things get weird for me.

Do you really need help in making this decision?

It was not that long ago you would have to trade 3 SS models to get a DD40. Good times.

Looking at your signature, my recommendation is taking one at a time:

a) trade Day-Date(as you didn’t wear it at all) with Hulk (discontinued piece that is not easy to come by)

b) keep saving up for Pepsi patiently (Pepsi still in production) and you also already have Batman. Consider Daytona ceramic (116500LN)

No way on what context?
Can you elaborate with your justification or just feelings?

The big question is which DD? Pretty wide spread in the aftermarket pricing on those.

Unless this is an ancient, torn to hell, never been serviced DD, hell no.

His signature says 218239, so I’m assuming this is the one he’s potentially trading

Definitely. A day date you never wear? Why even keep it. Or just sell the day date and use the proceeds. May be a better deal for you. Hulk is always fun to wear.

I would make the trade, but that's only because I don't care for the DD nor SD43

Never in that context,
The day date alone is close in value to both Ss watches, which are presented to you at current market prices, that no one really pays .

If you don’t wear the DD, just sell it.
