That was a fabulous video. Thanks for sharing. You can really get the idea of why these watches cost so much money and the quality workmanship that goes in to each one of their watches.

PP is a quality watchmaker and you can't say that there are too many companies in this world which still exhibit these once common old world values anymore--congratulations go out to PP, which is a brand of genuine timeless values.

Patek 5960P where P = Platinum grade 950. The case and pushers are all in P950. It's the first in-house Patek chronograph movement, also to be found in the 5980, aka Nautilus chronograph, but in the case of the 5960 it contains a perpetual calendar as well.
one of the most sought after Patek contemporary references. |

well, all academic as to me, because these watches are out of my affordable range, but i really like the Calatreva with a sweep hand(not sure if they make new ones with the sweep hand or not?)in YG or WG. Some of their models I have seen featured a curved watch and movement; not my cup of tea but amazing.

Dan, all Calatrava's, if they come with a second hand, is a sweep hand... because they are mechanical movements... are you referring to a central seconds hand or sub-dial seconds?
Generally, with the Calatrava range, a central seconds hand indicates an automatic movement, and a sub-dial seconds indicates a manual wind movement, except for the reference 6000, which has a micro-rotor arrangements, and sub-dial seconds. |

Hey Vanessa. Long time no hear.
Unclesallie--I agree!! I think for most of us learning about PPs are academic. No way will most of us spend tons, and tons of cash on a watch. We've got families to take of. |

Precious metal Rolex's can cost as much as a humble Patek Calatrava, in my opinion the classiest dress watch around. Prices start at around USD17,000.00

Yes Lee, I sure am. I just repair watches though, I don't work at a manufacturing plant.
Greg, thanks for your kind words! I'll try to finish your watch today, I'll call you. I have training this morning from Raymond Weil... |
