Collection upgrade and incoming

As I continue to remove the albatross watches in my collection I look to consolidate and upgrade. So happy to have found this one on a recent trip.

Now I have some fantastic memories and a huge upgrade for my collection. Very comfortable to wear, casual or dress, the grey dial is amazing as it changes color in the light. The Traditionelle style is filled with Vacheron legacy, the polished markers that change color, the brushed/polished hands that seem to glow without lume, the case shape, the lugs . . .

So hard to get a good image as the reflections and the color are really tough to work with. The challenge is fun.

Thanks, this is where I want to be, something that puts a smile on my face when I wear it.

Congratulations Brian.

Did you trade in your Fiftysix for this Traditionnelle? What made you decide to trade up? I struggle between those two before deciding on the Fiftysix. I love the classic 3 section Traditionnelle case, the dial design and markers. It’s definitely an upgrade. On the other hand, I ultimately went with the Fiftysix due to the lovely blue dial as I already have a slate dial annual calendar. I also feel like the Fiftysix is a little more modern classic in its case design. Now if they make a Traditionnelle in blue…

While it was not a direct trade, yes.

The Traditionnelle in white gold is more where I want to be and as much as I love blue, the dial layout of the Fifty-Six just never sang to me. The Traditionnelle is more readable to me. Now what I am really after is a Traditionnelle in Platinum, I need to move a few more things around first.

I love this watch. Vacheron dauphine hands are the best in the industry. I do really wish they made this in in a smaller size. It wears too big on my wrist.
