5512 Question
It’s been a while, I have a 1967 Submariner 5512 that’s probably due for a service. Two questions which are related, I don’t always wear it so when I wind it up manually how many turns be for the power supply is at max? Last how many hours can I expect it to keep time before going to sleep?
I had a guy in NY who serviced my watches but he recently retired and I’m in south Florida, and recommendations for a person to service my watch? Lance |

I guess it is going to be a 1560 or 1570 movement?

I was impressed by Greg Petronzi of True Patina's work on a 5510 RAN. Get's them running to perfection again but keeps their character intact.

Hey Lance! For your 1967 Submariner 5512, you should manually wind it about 40-50 turns to fully charge the mainspring. Once fully wound, you can expect it to keep time for around 40-48 hours before it needs winding again.
As for servicing, finding a trustworthy watchmaker is crucial, especially for vintage pieces like yours. In South Florida, a couple of highly recommended places are: Time Zone Vintage Watches in Miami – Known for their expertise in vintage Rolexes. Govberg Jewelers in Fort Lauderdale – They have a good reputation for servicing luxury watches. |

Rikki at Time Care Inc. in Florida also has a very good reputation.
