Would you like a Day Date in steel?

I don't think it will ever be possible, but would you like a Day Date in steel?

No. I would be devastated if they ever did that.

Yes, a steel day date would be ideal.

Although the first DD was launched way back in 1956 and was the first watch to display the day and date.If I remember it was around 1976 they did make a few SS prototypes but no ref number or serials on cases,as they were never manufactured for commercial purposes, but I believe one or two have made it to the commercial market, now they are really true rare Rolex watches.

100% not. DD is PM on a President bracelet or it’s not a DD.

While we’re at it, the President bracelet shouldn’t be an option for other watches (eg Sky Dweller) either.

No way. This watch is the crown of The Crown and should be PM only

The DD "President" can't and should not be but a PM watch.Anything else can.

Here's one from the 70s, as you describe: https://www.phillips.com/detail/rolex/CH080218/25

They make tool watches like the Sub and GMT in gold. Why not go the other direction and make the ultimate PM Rolex in SS?

It’s the Crown of the Crown. You don’t make Crowns out of steel.

Another vote for "Wouldn't want to see that happen." Although most DD owners will likely share the same sentiment.

I might be interested to buy a 36MM Day Date with smooth bezel. Gold, steel, or two tone is o.k., so long as it's 36MM with a smooth bezel.

You mean a steel Dayjust with a day complication for an extra $10-20k? Why? No thanks!
