Icon20 Pink OP - hard to get?

Hello,
I have bought a few watches from my local AD in Berlin this year and I just expressed my interest for a Candy Pink OP 36.
They told me they have no watches to sell until next year and this was for everybody despite purchase history, but that they would let the manager know anyways that I am interested so that he knows when the time comes.
Any ideas?

The pink OP is extremely hard to get. It is almost as difficult as the Tiffany blue. Good luck.

Been trying to get one for the Mrs. and the AD says they hardly ever seen them, much harder than a Daytona.

Literally got a Daytona 2 days ago and for the 20th time I asked about that, nope.

They get more daytonas than those. Doesn't make much sense but that's the reality.

All of the OPs are hard to get. Unfortunately, you chose one of the very hardest, and the most sought after size. I waited 1 1/2 years for my silver dial OP 36.

My wife has one but was really lucky to get after only a couple month wait. She’s worn it to other ADs and they have said they’ve only seen a couple over the last three years. I’ve only seen one other in the wild.

Strangely enough, I’ve had good luck with OPs. Last year I got my wife the pink 36 and Tiffany 31 and I got myself the green 41. Each from different local ADs. So it is possible

Perhaps rolex follow suit pp footsteps, the cheapest categories watches would be the hardest to get. AD would lure you into much higher categories before allocate the op as a reward.

What an astounding job Rolex did revamping the OP-line.

got one for the wife in 36 a few months ago. i am pretty tight with management and i know for a fact that the last time they got one was about 5-6 months before. I estimate 2-3 per year.

My SA said they see more Daytonas than pink/blue OPs. They are getting 2 celebration dials in a year.

Hard ? Every Rolex is hard to get if you are a new customer who comes in to ask for the most sought-after ones !

For existing customer: 8 months of waiting for my wife, who was my gift.
So I would say that on average, you are on the list for a good year depending on your relationship with your retailer...

The Ad said they have received only a few Pink OP’s since they were released compared to Daytonas.

The Ad offered a Yellow OP instead, but the Mrs. said no thank you as she was only interested in pink.

As I noted on a related thread, with five sizes of OPs and multiple dials on each, even bigger dealers will be getting a mixed bag. So yes I would say there’s a faircwait for a pink 36mm.
I got the last 41mm Coral Red my Boutique received just a few weeks before its discontinuation, my SA told me they had only gotten a dozen of them during its 18 month run.

Wife got the Candy Pink OP31 over two years ago from our AD. She loves it. I got the OP41 Green at same time. Two very simple, yet classy pieces.

I recently got offered by my local AD but for the black OP 41. I would have grabbed it if it was an OP 36 in tiffany, pink, green or red so I can buy it for the wife. They said that it's next to impossible since there are hundreds of people ahead of me :(

Why did they stop red and yellow? Mysterious.
They may be preparing new variants as a replacement?

The pink could also be suddenly stopped by the way...

I was on my AD's "list" for a 36 pink from the day it came out but never was able to snag one. Wanted it for my daughter's university graduation, but that has since come and gone. Didn't want to pay the premium on the grey market, but am now thinking a 34 pink for the wife would be nice. They don't seem to get many in either case, but if I ever come across either it would be one of those nice to have things, not really any sort of need to have.

I was lucky to get one back in March for my wife to celebrate our 25th anniversary. However, she prefers her SD 16600 and DJ41 Wimbledon, so I’m letting it go.

My wife got one and loves it. Took a few months, but imagine there was some luck and the AD did me a solid in delivering it.

My wife received the 34 mm after 14 months of waiting.
