Ap ro 15510
Hello AP lovers :)
Been really wanting an AP royal oak 15510, a black or white dial. After talking to AP house it seems like the demand is super high and ofcourse they were pushing the code's on me. Now I am thinking about going to the grey market. Was reading this article: https://www.watchpro.com/corders-col...ets-royal-oak/ But when I look at the chrono prices they seem to be around 40.000 euro and not around 30.000 euro as Corder is mentioning. What's the real market price on these? Closer to 40k or 30k? (Since Corder is mentioning that the chrono prices are over-priced and it's not what the market is paying) Looking forward hearing everybody's opinion here. Cheers, |

That article is complete hogwash. No one is getting a 41 RO in a few weeks even in a less popular colour. I've heard of CODEs and ROOs on first couple visits and nothing else.

The article is as stupid now as it was when it appeared in May.

And the comment about the WatchCollecting site sale was wrong too.....with Buyers premium it was £29,945 which is still a 25% premium for a 15500 and with the Grey dial which is not the most popular with buyers/the market;
https://www.watchcollecting.com/for-...ak-selfwinding As others have said it's a poorly executed click bait article. |

So are the prices on Chrono24 actually the “market price” ?

No, usually market (e.g. Moda) is lowest credible listing on C24 minus 15-30%, although there is the occasional C24 listing with a realistic ask. Forget entirely about the C24 valuations - those are for entertainment only.

Thanks! So where could I actually see a real market price on the Royal Oak 41? 🙂

Depends if we’re talking wholesale or retail grey market (buying/selling). If you’re selling then the market value is likely what someone is willing to pay you wholesale pricing for. But if you’re buying then prices from a reputable grey will likely be more in line with C24 floor prices. |

Curious as to why you think you still have not gotten it? They can’t have only been serving existing clients since then? Undoubtedly there have been new clients who have received allocations since you’ve been waiting? Or are they people who have gone the Code/ROO first route. I am inclined to recommend you try to find another boutique that might be better able to fulfill your requests as a new customer. |

I supposed if you did then you wouldn’t be in the same situation. I also don’t know which boutique you are currently attempting to work with. However, if there are other boutiques in your region, I would suggest trying to start a relationship there. I personally feel that for most new clients, if a "list" is more than 2 years long, the list likely doesn’t exist. |

Not true. I finally got a call today from AP to inform me of my allocation. Will post a big incoming when I get the watch (could be a few months, but after waiting for 7 years, that's nothing).
