I currently have a 14060m Non-COSC:

I just recently sold my Baume & Mercier Classima and came up on some cash. I was originally going to add around $400 to buy the Longines Moonphase I always wanted:

But now, I saw a great deal from a trusted dealer. He is willing to accept my trade plus more cash (around $3k or so) for a BNIB GMTIIC.

What should I do? Do I just have 1 Rolex or keep the sub and get a watch I was eying before I bought the sub? The reason I still wanted the Longines was cuz I can wear it with brown shoes or whatever.

Help me decide? Thanks!

I did that exact thing..I had the 14060 M that was COSC but now that I have the GMTIIC I hav enever looked back..

I'd recommend going for the moonphase.
It's a beautiful watch and your heart is set on it.
The GMTIIc can come later.

I'd keep the 14060...its my favorite of all the watches you mentioned. There's no shortage of GMT2c's floating around these days.

Don't do it!!! Buy a timex, and send the rest of the cash to me for safe holding!

Seriously, the IIC is a great watch, and is super comfortable. You'll love the solid bracelet...great upgrade, as is the 1/3 link expansion.

I would say gmt on this one. Sub no date is classic but if i was in your shoes i would go gmt on this one. Good luck!

I'd do that if I could as well but since you ask I believe you don't really have the choice so I'm going to say this: I'd buy the Longines and then trade the Sub+add some cash for the GMT. Personally I'd get a GMT over any Submariner but I think that Chronograph looks way too good to let it pass so I wouldn't forget about it!

It's your move but I know I'm looking at either a GMTII-C, Datejust II, or DSSD and I wouldn't want to get rid of my 16610 to get one. And not because I'd lose cash, it's just I waited 20yrs to get a Rolex and I think part of the fun of owning them is going to be still having it 25-35yrs down the road and still enjoying it because it's such a monster of a wristwatch. I also own an Omega Bond SMP from 2004 and I won't sell it either because it was something I very much wanted for a number of years and it's plenty durable and is my everyday work watch and was a gift. Now I'll flip expensive guitars back and forth but I feel differently about watches for some reason. My advice, double down on Rolex's, get the GMT-C and keep that beautiful Sub! (and get some black shoe polish if that helps)

Have the GMT-ii-C myself and is soooo pleased with - office, hiking, skiing, tox/suite ....it fits it all, and I use it daily.

Like the rest of the watches I own, there is also a story to my GMT. Long time ago, I promissed myself a GMT when I finished working offshore and turned back to "land", like a minifest of that time.

If you have a story to why you want the Moonphase, go for it

Both watches are in the "good end" so quality I don't think you will see the difference (some might disagree).

You need a watch that pleases you - not the Bling-bling

Everybody can buy a Rolex (just take a mortgage)
... not everybody can tell WHY they bought it.
