Icon7 Greetings!

Hi guys, my first post on this forum. Recently became a proud owner of the Rolex 114270. I'm from Malaysia and have been quietly following this forum for the past few months now.

Trouble with being in an "obscure" country is finding people of the same passion. Rolex and Panerai are the most recognizable brands here while smaller brands like Bremont/Blancpain are almost obscure.

Another problem is I do wish to participate in trading some of my watch collections, but that's really hard to do here. Itching to trade my IWC Mark XII for something newer but the dealers here offer a pittance for it and I would rather just keep it. Trading overseas on the other hand would be a very tricky process.

Anyhow, a big HI and great to join in the fun. Have uploaded here a picture of my 114270 beside my wife's 72000.

Enjoy!

Lume on "3-6-9"

Hi!
Thank you very much for sharing those pictures. I really like the Explorer I as well. I need a more versatile yet understated watch and the EXP I would do nicely; durable yet dressy if needed. One thing holding me back is the lack of lume on the 3-6-9 markers at least on the 214270 reference. On yours it appears that there IS lume.
Is that correct? Does the 114270 have luminous 3-6-9 markers? If so I wonder why they changed? Perhaps to make it a touch more elegant?

Hi, and yes, great choice on the 114270, it really is a very versatile piece. As or the lume part, no, the 369 has no lume on it. However, the lume on the rest of the indices are very bright.
