Breguet marine

Does anyone own a Breguet Marine 5517, a 3 hander? I'm always a fan on it and lately been considering one. How reliable is it and is it comfortable?

Not the same exact watch, but the movement is a variant of this : https://www.thenakedwatchmaker.com/d...classique-5177

If you like the styling, with a great price off gray/secondary dealers... Why not... Also explore the previous version for another variation of the styling.

Good luck

The movement is both modern yet has been in service long enough to be time tested.

In person, the guilloché really shimmers in the right light.

I think it's gorgeous. Only thing that leans me towards the previous version is the way they did the romans on this one I think the previous version is classier. I do like the 6:00 big date better as well but that's not a deal breaker at all just a preference.

The dials on both version are just incredible both are show stoppers.

I looked at that watch many times and never managed to buy. I do not like the strap and the attachment, nor the coin edge case. The movment and dial are beautiful

I have the previous Marine big date 5817, similar movement, very reliable and accurate. Completely different case with the welded lugs. Mine wears slightly larger than it measures (39.5mm). Can’t speak for the comfort of the new models but mine is one of my favorites.

I have a 5837

The marine line is great, sort of dressy but sporty and great around the water.

I used to be on the fence but the more I look at it the more I like the center-lugs and coin-edge...very distinctive on this version of the Marine.

I have a Breguet Marine 3400. It's really a dress watch at 35mm, but it has crown guards and the manual says 50m water resistance!

I have placed an order for the 5517 in titanium blue dial but it is not here yet. The titanium version does not have the gorgeous guilloche but is is more affordable than the WG and RG.

Congrats! I prefer the weight of the titanium, more suited for daily wear. Looking forward to the pics!
